A pretty simple game of poker, it doesn’t play particularly fast and would of been better off just being 2d as it looks like one of those early 3DFX games that hit the web in the 90’s.

Brigade E5 New Jagged Union

Actually not as bad as I expected, Brigade controls somewhat like X-Com Apocalypse but with a greater focus on realtime. It’s not really a great game, my expectations weren’t epically high here

Seal of Evil

Holy cow, voice actors take note of this game! to call this B movie acting would be an insult to most B movies, which in a way makes it worth a download just to experience. I didn’t get too far into the game before the audio and video just got me down. It’s possible there’s a great game under there somewhere, but this will require a whole lot of digging to find.

Well that was a pretty weak selection from Gametap, fortunately while I was away Toca3 and Civ4 were made available, both fantastic games and well worth the entry fee.

Sub games seem to pop up once every few years, I remember having a blast playing Silent Service on the Sinclair Spectrum back in the 80s. I’d expect great advances in 20 years, but Hunter Killer is very disappointing.

Sid Meier’s Pirates!

Sid Meier can rarely do wrong with any game that holds his name, although Pirates is greatly different from his usual games, it’s a total gem and great fun. Sadly though it seems Gametap are having some issues here, hopefully these’ll  be resolved soon so I can grab me some booty. Arrr!

Shellshock: Nam 67

I really like Eidos and some of the games they have created, it’s hard to believe they created this tripe, fortunately Vietcong is also available on Gametap, which scratches the Vietnam war itch much better.

Abomination

Abomination feels like a cross between the fantasic X-com series and Syndicate (Which hopefully will be on Gametap someday) but ends up failing to meet the high standards created by either. There’s defiantly some enjoyment to be had here however.

Typing of the Dead

Well strap a Dreamcast to my back, Typing of the Dead is back and it’s still as much fun as it was when it’s released. The dialog is camp, the textures are grainy, but it’s all great fun and a great typing tutor at the same time.
